This summer, we have been collecting ethnic food stories across London.

We have been curious to learn how ethnic food emerges from communities of all kinds and how the stories we tell about ethnic food go back to (re)present communities in one way or another.

We have also just been interested to learn about what food stories people cherish and why.

Walking down any London high street, we come across ethnic food and ethnic food shops. With our stories in mind, we enter these food shops, explore – and cook!

You can follow some of our foot steps:

Our invaluable Sarah has been walking down Streatham High Road in Lambeth and discovering its ethnic food treasures.

Himali has been talking to shop owners along the Tolworth Broadway in Kingston.

Nevena has been savouring all that Green Lanes in Haringey has to offer.
